The HighCon project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and includes project partners from the fields of research and industry as well as four application sites from different industrial sectors. The aim of the project is to develop new technologies as well as innovative, selective processes for the reuse of industrial wastewater up to the recycling of the concentrate ingredients. Based on the requirements of selected industrial sectors, holistic solution approaches are being investigated for this purpose under the aspects of increasing the water recycling yield, energy efficiency, salt recovery and reduction of waste streams.
